At Pups at Play Montclair, we make dog ownership easier and more joyful. Our full-service pet care facility offers everything your pup needs — from play and training to grooming and boarding — all in a safe, happy, and welcoming environment.

Facility Requirements

To ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care, we require the following:

• Bordetella Vaccine: Must be current and administered annually (every 12 months).
• Rabies Vaccine: Required for all dogs, regardless of age—no exceptions.
• Distemper Vaccine: A current Distemper vaccination is mandatory.
• Spay/Neuter Policy: All dogs 7 months and older must be spayed or neutered to participate in any of our services.

Please submit up-to-date vaccination records prior to your scheduled visit. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our facility safe and healthy for all pets.

Temperament Tests

To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all dogs in our care, we require a temperament evaluation for all new canine clients.

• Testing Hours: Temperament tests are available Monday through Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We are unable to offer evaluations outside of these hours due to high-volume drop-off and pick-up times.
• Duration: Each test typically takes approximately 2 hours to complete.
• By Appointment Only: Temperament tests must be scheduled in advance. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
